Two sleepy kids....

I love this picture!
This picture does all the talking for how exhausted the kids were on Christmas night. We spent Christmas Eve with Buddy's family and then of course the kids were up very early Christmas morning. Then, we had to go to my family's on Christmas day and my Aunt Bonita's after that. There was so much activity and so many places to go. We got home late that evening and they just crashed.

Toy Story Mania in the Murphy Home!

Sean's only two requests for Christmas this year were a "shootin lazer Buzz lightyear" and a cowboy Woody doll from the movie Toystory 2. Lily wanted a Cowgirl Jessie doll. They were so excited when they found them Christmas morning. It has now been a week since Christmas and they are still sleeping with them every night.

My dad was able to be with us this Christmas which turned out to be really special.

Sean & Daddy on Christmas Eve

Sean throwing food out for Santa's reindeer

Sean's teacher gave all the children a bag of reindeer food on the last day of school before the holidays. It was actually a bag of uncooked oatmeal with green glitter mixed in. The glitter so that the reindeer could spot the food from the sky and santa would know where to stop. I had actually forgotten but Sean reminded me that he had to go put food out for the reindeer. It was to cute. He had no idea the food was actually just oatmeal. I thought it was a great idea.

Christmas Eve in Union Springs!

Every year we celebrate with Buddy's family on Christmas Eve. This year we had our Christmas Eve party in Union Springs at Kelli's (Buddy's neice) home. Maria was taking this picture so she was missing from the shot. Oh, and poor little Lyndee was just so sleepy so Kelli had already put her to bed.

Sophie, Abby & Lily

I love this picture of the 3 girls. They love to play together despite the age gaps. Abby just fits right in with the big kids. Probably because her dad, my brother Mark, is such a big kid himself.

Santa comes to Towne Lake

This year we were not at Disney World when Santa came on the fire truck to throw goodies out. We were so glad the kids did not miss it again. Dad was here and feeling pretty good that morning and Buddy's nephew, Tracy, came over with his son Drew. Drew is a little older then Sean but they are good pals. Lily, of course, just wanted her daddy to hold her.

A surprise Christmas visitor!

Posted by Picasa
Buddy & I surprised the family (mainly Heather) with secretly getting my dad here for the holidays. With the exception of me & Lily seeing him last November briefly when we flew to Boston, no one else had seen him since 2004. He has been quite ill with cancer so we were worried he would not be able to make it here. We pulled it off and kept the secret though. He arrived the Friday before Chritmas and on Saturday we had the entire family over. Just about 20 minutes into the party guess who calls? Dad (on his cell phone) He asks to speak to each person in the room and is telling how he wished he could be with us all on Christmas and then in he walks . It was a total shock and we are in tears.
