Julia never ceases to amaze me with her creativity and skill in coordinating fabrics and creating custom made, top quality, boutique style clothing. I love this set and want to bid on it for Lily in fact. She has listed it on ebay. You absolutely must check it out. There are more pics.

Lily's first pedicure
Have I mentioned enough on this blog how much fun having a daughter is?
Today we had our first official girls day out together. First stop, pedicures. We sat side by side in the chairs and she kept looking over at me with a huge grin on her face as the dangled her feet in the "blue water". I snapped a few pictures of her even though I was a little embarrassed to do it. Lily picked out her own color and chose to get flower on her first toe. The lady even did a little leg and foot massage on her. She found this pretty funny. I decided to have my eyebrows waxed and the poor thing looked a little worried that it might happen to her next.
Buddy took some pics of our feet together. I know you really don't want to see my feet but they are in the pics.
While we did our thing Buddy took Sean to a sporting goods store and then they went to Starbucks. The kids have had a theme lately about Sean being "another daddy" and Lily being "another mommy" so I think they really enjoyed having special time with us.

First day of school for Sean & Lily
Today was not nearly as bad as I expected.
We woke up early and took some video of the kids still sleeping and again as they ate and got dressed up in their uniforms. They were both very excited. I was spazzing out about paperwork, folders, juice money, extended day blah, blah, blah..........
When it was time to go I took pictures of them all dressed and with backpacks. We got to school early and walked them both into the building and waited in the "pod" until the bell rang.
With Lily (as per teacher's instructions) we kissed her in the palm of her hand and said goodbye. I think they were going to read a special book later called the Kissing Hand. She asked her teacher right away where the costumes were. Ha! That's our Lily.
Sean tried to play it cool but whispered to Buddy that he was a little nervous. We said goodbye and walked out.
I started spazzing out again about turning all the forms in paying juice money for the year so we walked to the office to get everything taken care of.
Buddy and I needed to unwind and relax after such stress so we went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast :) That was good!!!!!
We come home for a bit and I went into Sean's room and spotted his beloved pillow. I got very emotional and took a picture of it laying there all alone without him holding it and started trying to write a poem about it. I know, I am cheesy but I just get that way.
Anyway, we picked them up at 10:30 today since it was the first day. They were so pumped and happy. We saw some Montessori friends and a few church friends.
We are looking forward to tomorrow. Pictures soon.....

Everything New
I feel like today is a calm before the storm. (funny, it is actually raining this morning)!
Today is the last day of life as I knew it before I had an official kindergartner.
All is quite right now as I sit here posting this. I have only myself to get ready for work. Yesterday I got a little taste of what is soon to come as it got a little hairy around here.
Sean was registered for the new soccer season and Lily had her first ballet lesson off the 2008 class.
This time tomorrow I will actually be sitting in a carpool line and then trying to get to work myself. It is done everyday by women everywhere and has been for years I tell myself! But, It is new to me so I am a little nervous.
So it will be getting up about 5:30, getting two very hard to wake up sleepyheads dressed and fed, then out the door by 7:00. Ballet on Monday, Soccer on Tuesday and Saturday along with all of our other "life".
Our little baby boy starts kindergarten and Lily will be in a K3 program at his school. I am sad but excited. He is very excited. As we tell him, he has one more "sleep" before he gets to go to his new school. I will let you know how our first day goes.
Tonight is Open House which I am looking forward to since I feel like it will me MY first day at a new highschool. I hope you are all adjusting to whatever is new in your life.
Have great day!

Help Me!
Buddy is teaching our 5 year old to fight!
No really, he was teaching him how to punch (box) whatever!
Today we took him to meet his new teacher at his new kindergarten and some of his classmates were there. One little boy very sternly told him not to touch his toy!
Well, if you know my sweet child at all then you know that he is about the most gentle, laid back little boy ever. He is just a sweetheart (except to his sister).
Bless his heart. He told the kid very sweetly that he would not touch his things and then he let us all know that he would be in big trouble with that boy if he touched his things.
At this point my heart is breaking at how naive my child is and how this is only the beginning of a very "rough" world for my baby.
So, after a long speech by mommy about how the little boy just needs to use kind words and that maybe he could help show him how to remember his kind words
(a montessori thing) daddy decided he needed to take over.......
On a lighter note. As we were walking around Cosco today trying to find things to spend money on Buddy starts singing his favorite "We are in the poor house now" song. To which Sean asks "Daddy, where is the poor house"?

Sean SAID he wanted to model something for Mrs Julia too!
It seemed like a good idea at first........
Then, he seemed a little nervous...
He was absolutely not into it in the end.
I guess modeling is just not his thing......LOL
