The following story goes under the category of "most embarrassing moments".
First let me say that today what not a very good day for me. The phrase "when it rains it pours" comes to mind.
I guess it all started last night when I realized our dishwasher was broken. Well, maybe it started a few weeks ago when I noticed my "check engine" light coming on in my car. I was thinking it may end up costing some $$$ dollars but I was not sure if it was just a small glitch with the gas cover not being on tightly enough or what.
So anyway, I took the car to Mcconell Honda first thing this morning and got a shuttle ride to work. The morning went well enough, Buddy picked me up and we had lunch at Eastside. (best part of the day)
I went to pick the car up late this afternoon and took Sean in with me to do the business of paying and such. I was already upset because of the money we were having to pay (it was not just a small glitch) and remembering that we were also going to have to buy a new dishwasher (agghhhhh) when it finally happened. One of those things I only ever heard about from other mommys. A most embarrassing moment finally happened to me.
I have a sweet kid but he must be going through a speak his mind and be brutally honest phase.
One of the ladies working behind the desk came out and lets just say she was not a small lady. She was a rather large lady and I don't mean tall or big boned. As she walked in our direction to wherever she was going, Sean walked over into her path forcing her to stop and said the following and I quote his exact words: "OH my gosh, this is something you don't see everyday! You sure are a fat lady"!
Are you laughing, or thinking that I have a rude little brat???? I shoot him a mean look and the lady walks away without a single word. Tears a welling up in my eyes but for some reason a laugh comes out and the checkout lady just looks at me. Then I turn around where all the other ladies are just red faced chuckling under their breath. Sean kept saying over and over, what mommy, I just said she was fat. She is fat she is.... I grabbed his arm and ran out. I went over to Buddy's truck and tried to tell him what happened but a lady came out with my car and my keys.
This is when my bad day gets worse. Sean and I get in my car and leave. As I am explaining to him about teasing (even though I don't think he meant any harm) and about bodys, feelings, being rude and all that good stuff I start to hear a steady knocking sound and feel an awkwardness about the car. I immediately call Buddy's cell and head back to Mcconell. I pulled the car back under the garage and explain the situation.
Long story short, #1 there was a bolt or rather large screw of some sort in my tire, #2. I picked it up somewhere else (yeah right) and #3. we are going to have to pay for the repair. This is where poor Buddy's pent up stress came out and he let them have it. By this I mean he voiced his disapproval and then told them they just lost a customer and then drove off very abruptly.
Wait, did I tell you that he got in my car and drove off with my purse and cell and I had a sleeping half dressed Lily and Sean and needed to stop by the grocery store.
I took his truck home and Buddy took the car somewhere else to get the tire repaired. By the time he got home it was a little late to go to the store. I washed a sink full of dishes and still have the ones in the dishwasher to go. But, it is late and I am physically and emotionally exhausted. I am going to bed and will dream of a better day tomorrow.

Well, that counts as the worst day ever. Bless you! Times like this makes you just want a "do over" for Tuesday. I hope that today is a wonderful day for you (hey, it can't get worse than yesterday, right?) :)
I hope you have a great day today (to make up for the day you had yesterday).
